Seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead a variety of asphalt and paving projects across the DMV for this great opportunity. Our client is a well-established heavy highway contractor specializing in asphalt paving projects. Their company prides itself on delivering high-quality results while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork. They are looking for an experienced General Superintendent to lead their field operations and ensure their projects run smoothly.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervise all field operations, including paving, milling, mass grading, and utility crews
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage and coordinate schedules, resources, and logistics for effective project execution
  • Provide leadership and guidance to crew members and foster a positive team environment
  • Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a General Superintendent in asphalt paving operations
  • Proven ability to supervise a crew of at least 200 employees in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of heavy highway construction equipment and materials
  • Proficient in computer applications and office software for project management and reporting
  • Familiarity with US and State DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations related to roadway construction projects
