Job Description

Do you possess 3-5 years construction supervisory experience and are looking for a new challenge? If so, we are seeking a full-time Construction Field Manager / Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will be Wolgast’s lead team member on the jobsite. You will manage the work of other contractors as it pertains to schedule, quality and safety. You will work closely with the Client’s on-site representative to ensure mutual goals and expectations are understood and being met. The Field Manager is supported by an off-site Project Manager and Administrator.

Job Responsibility

  • Conducting daily inspections to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with safety regulations
  • Maintaining communication and correspondence among all stakeholders, including contractors, owners, and architects
  • Supporting the Project Manager and other team members with cost control, contractor quotes, change orders, and payment approvals
  • Acting as a liaison between contractors, architects, and project owners
  • Create and manage construction schedules
  • Review, process and coordinate project submittals
  • Schedule and conduct pre-construction, construction and punch list meetings
  • Maintain and enforce project site safety

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple trades on large, complex projects (preferably educational) valued up to $25 million
  • Have a thorough knowledge of construction drawings and specifications
  • Have a strong knowledge of a variety of construction trades
  • Strong leadership and communication skills are essential
  • Willingness to participate in a team-focused environment
