Job Description:

Selectek is seeking an experienced Construction Field Manager to support renovation and upgrade projects within live data center environments. This role is hands-on and field-focused, responsible for coordinating crews, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting project execution across electrical, mechanical, BMS, EPMS, and structural scopes of work. The ideal candidate has proven experience working in live data centers, is technically strong, and thrives in fast-paced, high-reliability environments with multiple stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinate and support internal teams and subcontractors on mission critical renovation and upgrade projects involving: BMS
  • Coordinate and support internal teams and subcontractors on mission critical renovation and upgrade projects involving: EPMS
  • Coordinate and support internal teams and subcontractors on mission critical renovation and upgrade projects involving: Electrical, mechanical, and structural scopes
  • Maintain a safe work environment and actively champion the company’s safety culture
  • Support project management teams with: Planning and scheduling
  • Support project management teams with: Field coordination
  • Support project management teams with: Project closeout activities
  • Provide daily technical direction and support to Trade Partners and field crews
  • Deliver accurate construction progress and schedule updates to the project management team
  • Assist with coordination of: Client submittals
  • Assist with coordination of: Site logistics plans
  • Assist with coordination of: As-built documentation
  • Assist with RFIs and maintain logs as required
  • Attend site walks and meetings with clients and subcontractors

  • Identify field process bottlenecks and recommend improvements

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of Mission Critical and Data Center construction field management experience
  • Direct experience working in live data center environments
  • Experience leading crews in live data centers
  • Thorough knowledge of construction, safety, and quality best practices
  • Broad understanding of: Electrical, mechanical, structural, and architectural trades
  • Broad understanding of: Industrial construction methods
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret technical documentation, including: One-line electrical diagrams
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret technical documentation, including: P&ID and BMS control diagrams
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret technical documentation, including: Electrical drawings with power flow tracing
  • Strong understanding of simple and complex LOTO procedures, with the ability to coach others
  • Experience with BMS and EPMS systems, including construction, integration, and commissioning
  • Prior experience with Power Distribution Controls and/or automated control systems
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and solution-oriented problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability and willingness to travel to project sites
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without current or future visa sponsorship
