Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience (preferably in Florida)
Strong proficiency in cost estimating and takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, SmartBid, ProEst, or similar)
Solid understanding of construction methods, material costs, labor rates, and subcontractor markets
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings

Job Responsibility

Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to develop accurate cost estimates for design-build and other construction projects
Assess existing building conditions to provide detailed and realistic estimates
Collaborate with project management and field teams to ensure estimates align with project requirements and field realities
Build and maintain detailed custom assemblies tailored for construction projects, assigning appropriate material types and labor costs to each item
Analyze architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare precise estimates
Research and source materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing to ensure accurate and competitive estimates
Conduct site visits and evaluate existing building conditions to inform estimates and project scopes
Utilize project management software (e.g., ClickUp) to document and communicate estimate details clearly and effectively
Provide value engineering insights and recommend cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
