Job Description:

The Static Equipment & Internal Supervisor directs Subcontractor activities for Static Equipment, ensuring that Plant Construction works are performed according to the erection schedules and Project documents, within the assigned cost budget, and according to Quality & Safety procedures, as well as according to the terms and conditions of the subcontract. Each Supervisor reports to the Construction Manager.

Job Responsibility:

  • Directs Subcontractor activities for Static Equipment
  • Ensure Plant Construction works are performed according to erection schedules and Project documents
  • Ensure works are within the assigned cost budget
  • Ensure works are according to Quality & Safety procedures
  • Ensure works are according to the terms and conditions of the subcontract
  • Check Supplier’s material and technical documentation delivery schedule prior to start of works
  • Check schedule is in line with Construction schedules and contractual commitments
  • Control and approve Method Statements submitted by Subcontractors prior to start of works
  • Ensure correct application of Method Statements on the field
  • Ensure implementation of all HSE procedures and standards for Static Equipment
  • Participate in HSE activities at site as defined in Site HSE plan
  • Check that schedule is kept and promote action to recover any delay
  • Check equipment and manpower employed by Subcontractor are adequate
  • Check works performed conform to design documents, Safety regulations, and Quality level
  • Perform inspections and sign necessary certificates as per Site Inspection Plans
  • Prepare non-conformity register for each Subcontractor
  • Co-ordinate non conformity resolution
  • Detect design errors and rectify or request Site Engineer to make changes
  • Check Subcontractors’ work progress status sheets and sign for approval
  • Manage vendor specialists
  • Assist Contract Manager/Engineer in defining new prices
  • Assist in preparing amendments to subcontracts
  • Assist in analysing and discussing claims

Requirements:

  • University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent
  • Similar role covered in projects that are of a comparable size
  • Fluent English
  • Excellent IT and analytical skills
  • Excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to details
  • Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
