The primary focus is on delivering high-level project engineering and management support for their water infrastructure projects.
Job Responsibility:
Organizing and hosting Engineering Kickoff meetings with the project
Providing an assessment reports post Kickoff meeting
Performing routine inspections and reviews of the projects engineering progress including spot checking of submittal review accuracy, progress, and approval performance
Providing projects adherence and use of engineering SOP’s and record keeping will also be reviewed
Review and work with the project team on all submittals deemed higher risk
To be an on-call resource for any project on Construction/Project Engineering questions and issues
Developing standardized District Project Engineering SOP’s and will work with the Project Systems Champion to incorporate these SOP’s into PM4, Autodesk Cloud and any future company systems
Aiding on project pursuits as needed which may include project background research, project understanding development and proposal level schedule in collaboration with the CED Scheduling Manager
Working with the Estimating department during preconstruction including design review / VE, contract writing and procurement on long lead items and other PE/PM level items that may require attention prior to the construction management coming onboard
Working with and managing the newest CED Engineers providing training and oversite on work assigned to them
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field
5–8 years of progressive construction experience with leadership and mentoring preferred
Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture by application of health, safety, and environment principles and legislation
In-depth knowledge of construction industry including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law and building codes, and safety and quality management practices
Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills including the ability to manage project budgets and schedules
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management and scheduling software, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology
Candidates must be based in the U.S. with permanent work authorization
