The Construction Excellence Engineer is responsible for driving best practices, ensuring consistent execution standards, and improving construction performance across projects or regions. This role blends engineering, material management, logistic, project management, quality, productivity, data analytics, and continuous improvement. This role ideally operates under the functional responsibility of the Global Construction Excellence Manager.
Job Responsibility:
You support the development and lead the deployment of construction execution standards and playbooks on projects and regions, ensuring consistent application and collecting feedback to continuously improve them under the framework defined by Construction Excellence leadership
You perform benchmarking analyses of internal and external practices and translate findings into concrete improvement proposals and action plans for deployment, in alignment with priorities set by Construction Excellence leadership
You ensure cross?functional alignment by coordinating with Group Construction and partnering functions to harmonize methodologies, interfaces, and ways of working
You monitor and interpret construction performance indicators, turning analytics into actionable insights to support decision?making and performance improvement
You deliver accurate, data?driven insights and dashboards enabling proactive performance management
You lead structured root?cause analyses of construction deviations and recommend mitigation actions that strengthen execution reliability and reduce repeat issues
You design and maintain a consistent Lessons Learned framework ensuring systematic capture, analysis, and reuse of lessons
You synthesize lessons learned into actionable improvements, ensuring prevention of recurring issues and the replication of best practices throughout the Construction community
You actively contribute to cross-functional forums, promoting knowledge sharing and acting as a champion for learning, capability development, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or related field
10+ years in Construction Execution or Construction Engineering or as Quality or Project Engineer within the Oil and Gas industry
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of construction principles (Including field constraints), methodologies, quality requirements, multi-discipline interface and best practices
Well-versed in root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and corrective action/preventive action (CAPA)
Proficiency in construction management software and tools (Advanced Excel, Power BI dashboards, digital construction tools, construction planning software..)
