Job Description

We are currently seeking Construction & Development Counsel to join our real estate team and provide legal support to our Fortune 500 clients.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide legal support on land use planning, development approvals, and regulatory compliance for large-scale infrastructure and real estate projects
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including CCDC contracts, EPCMs, engineering services agreements, and other complex construction and development contracts
  • Advise on legal risk, project structuring, procurement strategy (including open RFPs), and execution across the full project lifecycle—from pre-development to post-construction
  • Support cross-functional teams in managing Indigenous consultation, land access, and stakeholder relations in alignment with project timelines and legal obligations

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Canada
  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience in construction, real estate development, or infrastructure law
  • Proven experience with CCDC, EPCM, and other major construction and engineering contracts
  • Strong understanding of planning and development frameworks, municipal approvals, and regulatory regimes across Canadian jurisdictions

Nice to have

Experience working with or advising on Indigenous relations and land consultation processes
