We are looking for a Construction Coordinator to assist project management and field teams in coordinating residential construction project activities throughout the Houston marketplace. The Construction Coordinator will be a key team support member responsible for coordinating ongoing activities on multiple, simultaneous residential construction projects throughout the Houston market. Must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities and skills to prioritize activities to complete tasks effectively. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing infill construction team as it expands into the suburban market.
Job Responsibility:
Support the construction operations department with scheduling meetings, creating meeting notes, and performing other admin functions
Provide admin and project document support to field superintendents and projects managers
Provide project accounting support to obtain lien releases and process invoices
Monitor and update company systems and online tools for tracking progress
Work closely with field staff to maintain job-site cleanliness through our vendors
Work with the home product design staff and purchasing department to align product specs
Provide scheduling support for Homebound’s pre-construction process
Assist in submitting project documents for permit approval
Coordinate with the city planning department to set up utilities for homes under construction
Requirements:
1-2+ years of experience in the construction industry (e.g., plumber, framer, sheetrock installer, customer service representative, project coordinator, design center representative, realtor, and/or project engineer)
Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for basic data entry and tracking
Ability to read and interpret construction documents
Valid driver’s license required
Nice to have:
Experience with Procore preferred
Experience working with city officials is preferred
Construction Certification (OSHA, LEAD, etc.) preferred
