Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Construction Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization in North Las Vegas, Nevada. This role requires someone with keen attention to detail and a strong background in accounting and financial management to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all processes.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee and manage core accounting functions, including cash management, fixed assets, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data to provide accurate reporting of business performance
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger while maintaining robust internal controls and compliance with accounting policies
  • Prepare and present monthly financial statements to senior management, offering clear insights into company performance
  • Monitor and validate the accuracy of the Work in Progress (WIP) schedule during month-end close
  • Develop, track, and communicate monthly and annual operating budgets in collaboration with leadership
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the financial infrastructure
  • Supervise cash flow and working capital to ensure efficient billing and collections processes
  • Complete and submit required paperwork, reports, and statements to federal and state regulatory agencies
  • Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by senior financial leadership

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controller or similar financial management role
  • Proficiency in managing general ledger processes and monthly financial close activities
  • Solid understanding of cash management, fixed assets, and payroll operations
  • Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with Work in Progress (WIP) schedules and construction accounting practices
  • Ability to develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and security
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills to present financial data effectively
