Job Description

Our client is a growing construction company seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting job costing, and collaborating with project managers and vendors. This role is fully in office.

Job Responsibility

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor invoices and customer billings
  • Maintain job cost records and accurately code expenses by project
  • Support progress billing, retainage tracking, and lien waiver documentation
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance
  • Track budgets, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments
  • Maintain organized financial records and support audits as needed

Requirements

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience
  • Construction or project-based environment preferred
  • Familiarity with job costing and progress billing concepts
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Vista, Procore a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
