Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Construction Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and closeout of construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate has a strong organizational skill set, clear communication style, and a solid understanding of construction processes. This is a direct-hire position that offers full-benefits and room for growth in the company.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of construction projects
  • Track project schedules, budgets, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Coordinate communication between owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and filing systems
  • Monitor project progress and report status updates to stakeholders
  • Support procurement of materials and equipment
  • Help ensure compliance with safety regulations, contract requirements, and company standards
  • Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred) - Associate's degree may be considered.
  • 1–3 years of experience in construction coordination or project support (internships count)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience working with general contractors or subcontractors
  • Familiarity with budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration
