Manage all construction activities related to the assigned scope of EPC works (Process) for the NFW On plot from participation in detailed engineering through construction activities at RLIC Site to hand-over to the Completion Team in accordance with the Completion Sequence
Ensure close control on the schedule and key Project and Progress Milestones
Reports to NFW Construction Manager
Review and approve Construction Execution and related procedures, specifications, deliverables and progress reporting prepared by the EPC Contractor
Undertake complex tasks and acts as a source of guidance to the team and stakeholders by bring solutions and provide support but not generate “micro-management” or unnecessary works to the team and/or the EPC contractor
Identify problems quickly and determine root cause and develop plan to mitigate or resolve them
Utilize a systematic approach to problems solving that ensures accuracy, timeliness and quality of documentation that supports the resolution
Bring technical and execution solutions that favour a safe, but flawless construction execution and transition to commissioning activities
Organize and drive efforts of the team and stakeholders to achieve Project objectives
Work effectively within established procedures and participates in all important meetings and workshops (e.g. weekly and monthly meetings, 3D model reviews, constructability, traffic and completion reviews)
Guide EPC construction efforts of 5-10,000 workers during EPC construction activities at site works in a large fully integrated by complex project environment in which the incumbent strives to achieve best in class Safety, Health, Environmental & Security performance by creating a culture that encourages everyone to perform their best every day on every task
Ensure knowledge sharing by capturing and communicating lessons learned to support review teams and future projects
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering
15 year’s experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 5 years of management level experience in construction related disciplines, engineering, or project management with overall responsibility for an EPC execution
Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies
Broad knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope
Extensive knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities
Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects
Proven tract record of Project delivery in the industry and managing EPC contractors and sub-contractors
Excellent track record in construction safety results
Proven experience with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) methodology and systems completion management and associated databases
Requires to be inventive on construction execution and methods, bring experience from other large and complex projects, in particular LNG Plants
Experience with major and first tier EPC Contractors, Sub-contractors and Vendors involved in the Oil & Gas industry
Requires the ability to influence on the technical decisions to achieve a flawless construction execution and transition to commissioning
Experience with multi-cultural type Projects
Experience with LNG projects
Technical background as a discipline engineer and experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Construction Superintendent or Manager with solid Project Execution experience
Strong background in fabrication, construction and management of large green field construction activities
Demonstrated capacity to take workload, work with accuracy, take initiatives, be inventive and can multi-task
