This position is responsible for supporting on-site construction activity, assisting construction managers and subcontractors/trade partners in building and completing homes safely, on time and within budget.
Job Responsibility:
Assists in maintaining a clean and organized jobsite
Oversees completion of walk-through items/punch lists
Schedules and inspects work completed by trade partners
Updates schedules to reflect accurate progression/stage of the build process
Manages material orders and deliveries to meet needs of project schedule
Prioritizes labor and equipment resources as needed to avoid delays
Assists in resolving customer concerns
Conducts daily physical inspection of each house to determine progress and to ensure staff and trade partners comply with Company safety and quality control standards
Ensures staff and subcontractors follow Company and Division construction, quality control, and safety methods
Ensures scheduling and payment systems are up to date to ensure Trade Partner get paid promptly
Studies and understands project specifications, plans, and scopes of work to manage each project effectively
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
No prior construction experience required
Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in English
Entry-level technology skills to utilize Outlook and Project Management software
General knowledge of local codes and construction methods and construction material identification (after on-the-job training)
Knowledge of all phases of new home construction (after on-the-job training)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints (after on-the-job training)
Knowledge of industry-standard job site safety practices (after on-the-job training)
Ability to lift/carry and/or push/pull 50 pounds
Ability to walk jobs sites which include stairs, hills, unpaved and unlevel surfaces
Ability to verbally communicate with customers and trades
Ability to hear and have vision sufficient to navigate jobsites and interact with customers
May require travel to multiple construction sites where temperature, weather and noise may vary
may encounter electrical, dust, poor ventilation, dangerous machinery and moving objects and toxic conditions
