Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Admin to join our team in Birmingham, Michigan. This role involves supporting construction and real estate operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining critical documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Compile and distribute various reports, including roof leak summaries, construction status updates, and electric demand logs
  • Manage and maintain certificates of insurance for tenants, contractors, and vendors across multiple properties, liaising with insurance agents when necessary
  • Submit incident liability and building damage reports, providing photos and additional information to insurance representatives
  • Coordinate with architects to distribute field reports and update punch lists for construction projects
  • Oversee tenant construction closeout processes, including collecting required documentation and issuing reimbursements for allowances and security deposits
  • Handle the preparation and submission of building permit applications and address assignment requests
  • Organize and maintain construction room plans, including scanning and saving as-built documents
  • Distribute weekly reports from operations managers and security updates
  • Send bid packages to contractors and manage documentation for preconstruction and tenant construction processes
  • Update procedural handbooks for tenants and contractors as needed

Requirements

  • Proficiency in data entry and invoice processing
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools
  • Experience with purchase order management and status reporting
  • Familiarity with liability insurance processes and requirements
  • Understanding of building permits and construction-related documentation
  • Ability to manage security deposits and tenant allowances
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with multiple stakeholders

  • Establish various security compliance standards including (but not limited to) NIST(National Institute of Standards and Technology), FIPS(Federal Information Processing Standards), FedRAMP(Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program)
