This role will support accounting operations by improving QuickBooks Online processes, organizing job costing structures, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across construction projects.
Job Responsibility:
Review and audit the current QuickBooks Online setup for accuracy, organization, and efficiency
Clean up and maintain the Chart of Accounts, Products & Services, and job costing structure
Set up and optimize the integration between Contractor Foreman and QuickBooks Online
Map cost codes, products, and services between Contractor Foreman and QuickBooks Online to ensure accurate syncing
Implement and manage progress invoicing based on project estimates and billing schedules
Track project costs including labor, materials, subcontractors, overhead, and other job-related expenses
Generate and maintain weekly project profitability reports, including budget vs. actual reporting
Review job costing data to ensure projects are being tracked correctly and profitably
Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend process improvements
Help establish efficient workflows between office operations, project management, and accounting
Partner with management to provide accurate financial insight into project performance
Requirements:
Construction accounting experience required
QuickBooks Online experience required
Experience with job costing, cost codes, and progress billing
Familiarity with Contractor Foreman or similar construction CRM/project management software preferred
Ability to map cost codes and services between CRM/project management systems and QuickBooks Online
Strong understanding of project profitability reporting and budget vs. actual analysis
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify accounting discrepancies
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and support process improvements across accounting and operations
Nice to have:
Familiarity with Contractor Foreman or similar construction CRM/project management software preferred
