Job Description:

The town of Spencer seeks a proven conservation professional with excellent written and oral skills and thorough working knowledge of the Wetlands / River Protection Acts to administer these and local wetlands by-laws. Provides environmental/open space and planning support. Reviews stormwater permit applications, performs annual gravel pit inspections, and provides technical support to the Conservation Commission.

Job Responsibility:

Administer Wetlands / River Protection Acts and local wetlands by-laws
Provide environmental/open space and planning support
Review stormwater permit applications
Perform annual gravel pit inspections
Provide technical support to the Conservation Commission

Requirements:

Associate degree in environmental science or related field and three years of experience in a similar capacity
or a combination of education and experience
MACC “Fundamentals” certification required to be completed within one year of hire
