Job Description

The town of Ipswich seeks qualified candidates for full-time position of Conservation Agent. Responsibilities include administering Mass Wetlands Protection Act and Ipswich Wetland Protection Bylaw and supporting Conservation Commission by attending meetings, assisting public/others with wetland issues, supervising part-time Field Inspector and Conservation Assistant, and working with Open Space staff to ensure proper stewardship of Commission land holdings. Candidates should have bachelor's degree, at least three years of relevant experience, thorough knowledge of Wetlands Protection Act, and strong critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Reports to Director of Planning and Development.
