Job Description:

FinXL is seeking a Connex Switch Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client on a 12 months contract in North Sydney.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the technical design, development, and support of switching applications
  • Identify and design technical solutions in consultation with business partners
  • Perform core coding tasks and troubleshoot complex technical problems
  • Manage unit test script preparation and execute unit testing for code changes
  • Prepare comprehensive technical specifications and system handover documentation
  • Deploy software changes into production and support SIT and UAT movements
  • Provide BAU and on-call technical support to resolve production incidents

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in Banking and Financial Services (Payments and Cards)
  • Expertise in Connex Switch or Base24 within HPE NonStop Tandem environments
  • Strong understanding of ISO 8583 and AS2805 network specifications
  • Experience handling scheme mandates for Visa, Mastercard, and EFTPOS
  • Background in Switch migrations, software upgrades, and hardware migrations
  • Knowledge of testing tools and simulators such as FINSIM
  • Proven experience with EMV implementation and tokenization projects
