Connectivity Partnerships Director The Role: As the Sr. Manager of Connectivity Partnerships, you will be responsible for managing relationships, maximizing partnership revenue, and developing airline connectivity strategy with our connectivity partners. This role will represent the company in day-to-day partner interactions and will be responsible for building long-term relationships to meet enterprise goals. The individual must have account management experience as well as a sales orientation and skill set. The ideal candidates will have prior experience in airline distribution or working with connectivity partners (especially GDS and content aggregators) enabling you to intuitively communicate Capital One Travel’s vision and strategy to build a successful partnership foundation aligned on mutual goals.
Job Responsibility:
Manage your partnership portfolio like a business: develop and execute growth strategies
track and monitor performance
and complete analysis to identify areas of risk and opportunity
Understand the products and services offered by each partner, and create specific initiatives to support Capital One Travel’s overall strategy and direction
Uncover opportunities to improve commercial relationships
summarize and articulate to internal teams, and develop the strategic plan to execute, in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Organize, schedule and conduct regular calls with each partner, and in-person business and product reviews
Work with financial teams on forecast and revenue projections for partnerships
Establish a framework for evaluating trade-offs for various connectivity options for airline partnerships team, and be a key stakeholder in recommending which connectivity option(s) will be the optimal choice for a given airline
Interface between the partner and our internal teams to provide operational support, ensuring delivery of an excellent experience for each traveler
Develop a strong understanding of the global travel market, with a particular focus on the dynamics of the airline industry including new and legacy distribution capabilities and their economic impact for both the partner and Capital One Travel
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
At least 6 years of Business Development, Partnerships, or Relationship Management experience
At least 5 years experience in a customer-facing role in an organizational or entrepreneurial setting
Nice to have:
Masters or MBA degree
1+ years of experience in airline distribution and technology
