Job Description:

As a back-end engineer, you are part of a team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining connectors for the Actian Data Intelligence Platform, which synchronizes metadata from existing data systems. You will work with various data technologies in an international Agile environment.

Job Responsibility:

Design, implement and maintain new and existing connectors of the Actian Data Intelligence Platform
Build Java connectors
Participate in agile events
Collaborate to define prerequisites for development and ensure completeness of inputs
Ensure quality and robustness of code through an appropriate testing strategy
Provide technical and functional documentation for developed modules
Contribute to the team’s continuous improvement and be proactive in making suggestions

Requirements:

Strong proficiency in Java development for at least 5 years and autonomous in its use
Initial experience with Scala development and eagerness to learn functional programming
Solid understanding of the data ecosystem (persistence systems, processing, visualization, etc.)
Comfortable working collaboratively using tools such as GitHub, Jira, and Docker
Capable of estimating complexity based on studies or required inputs
Strong adaptability and autonomy
Naturally curious and enjoy working with new and diverse technologies
Not afraid to propose effective and pragmatic solutions to address technical challenges
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
French is a plus
