The Connect Engineering Apprenticeship Program bridges the opportunity gap for entry-level engineering candidates. Apprentices gain exposure to Airbnb's global-scale tool and tech stack, contributing to the enhancement of our guests' and hosts' experiences through shipped projects. The 6-month program includes a 3-month curated curriculum, mentorship, experiential learning on real projects, and professional development.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contribute to the enhancement of guests' and hosts' experiences through shipped projects
  • Engage in real tasks and projects
  • Receive scoping, pairing, and code review support
  • Refine technical skills while working closely alongside experienced engineers
  • Participate in fireside chats with leadership and workshops for non-technical skill development

Requirements:

  • No 4-year Computer Science degree
  • Coding skills acquired through online courses, community college classes, or a coding bootcamp
  • At least two years of work experience
  • Less than one year of professional software engineering experience
  • Ability to convert a problem to code, implement basic functions (if statements, for/while loops) and control flow in a programming language used in our codebase (React, Rails, Express)
  • Eligibility: Bootcampers, self-taught coders, and associate degree holders

  • Cabling Installation and decommissioning: Installing new racks and cabling systems (copper Cat 6 and Multimode fibre optic ) according to specifications and industry standards. Decommissioning of redundant cabling systems and racks
