You will be joining a leading global law firm that specialises in high-stakes transactions and complex disputes for an international client base. As a Conflicts Associate based in Singapore, you will manage the daily analysis and resolution of potential ethical and legal conflicts to ensure compliance with global risk management standards.
Job Responsibility:
Analyse conflict of interest reports for new client matters and lateral hires to identify potential risks
Resolve identified conflicts by obtaining necessary waivers and drafting internal ethical boundary documentation
Review and edit engagement letters to ensure alignment with professional responsibility rules and firm policies
Provide expert consultation to partners and management regarding complex professional conduct issues
Supervise the conflict clearance workflows and maintain accurate records of all resolutions.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws and an active bar license are mandatory requirements
At least 3 years of practice experience ideally within a dedicated disputes or conflicts department
Extensive knowledge of conflict-of-interest principles and professional responsibility regulations across multiple jurisdictions
Proficiency in utilising specialised legal software and corporate research databases for information governance
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
