Beacon Hill’s client, a leading plaintiff-side litigation law firm, is seeking a temp Conflicts Specialist. Duration – Estimated to last up to 5 months. Pay Rate – $30/hour. Location – Remote, based in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, or California. Strong preference for DMV-based candidates who can come into the DC office occasionally (the partner overseeing the conflicts department is based there). Start Date – Mid June 2026.
Job Responsibility:
Work with the U.S. Conflicts and Compliance Partner and the Managing Partners in Germany and England to evaluate potential conflicts of interest on a global basis
Focus on day-to-day processing of various types of conflict checks (new clients, new matters, pitches, etc.)
Ensure requests are handled properly with prompt turnaround and clear communication
Manage the Intapp conflict check queue and respond to email requests
Research potential clients and related entities
Manage the existing conflicts database
Draft and implement information barriers and ensure compliance
Respond to internal conflicts-related inquiries
Brief new attorney hires on the firm’s conflicts system
Evaluate new software applications to streamline conflicts processes
Requirements:
5+ years of experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services firm evaluating client conflicts
Bachelor’s degree
Outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills (written and oral)
Demonstrated ability to propose ideas and solutions, listen actively, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Superior judgment and the ability to resolve conflicts and issues independently and professionally, with a high degree of discretion and a demonstrated ability to protect and maintain confidential and sensitive information
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, highly efficient time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Self-motivated and effective in a team setting and independently
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Proficiency and experience with Intapp required
