Beacon Hill’s client, a leading plaintiff-side litigation law firm, is seeking a Temporary Conflicts Specialist to provide leave coverage for the firm’s Conflicts Manager. Location: Remote, based in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, or California. Strong preference for DMV-based candidates who can come into the DC office occasionally (the partner overseeing the conflicts department is based there). Start: Targeted for mid-June 2026. Duration: Up to 5 months. Hours: Full-time. Pay: $30/hour.
Job Responsibility
Evaluating potential conflicts of interest on a global basis
Processing various types of conflict checks (new clients, new matters, pitches, etc.)
Managing the Intapp conflict check queue and responding to email requests
Researching potential clients and related entities
Managing the existing conflicts database
Drafting and implementing information barriers and ensuring compliance
Responding to internal conflicts-related inquiries
Briefing new attorney hires on the firm’s conflicts system
Evaluating new software applications to streamline conflicts processes
Requirements
5+ years of experience evaluating client conflicts, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
Bachelor’s degree
Outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills (written and oral)
Demonstrated ability to propose ideas and solutions, listen actively, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Superior judgment and the ability to resolve conflicts and issues independently and professionally, with a high degree of discretion and a demonstrated ability to protect and maintain confidential and sensitive information
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, highly efficient time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Self-motivated and effective in a team setting and independently
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
