Job Description

We are seeking 2 experienced Confined Space Rescue Operatives to support works on a short-term project based in Northolt. Operatives will be responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel working in confined spaces and providing immediate rescue response if required.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide standby rescue cover for confined space operations
  • Monitor entry and exit procedures in line with safety regulations
  • Maintain and inspect rescue and safety equipment
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations
  • Work closely with site teams to ensure compliance with health & safety standards
  • Complete relevant safety documentation and reports

Requirements

  • Valid Confined Space Rescue certification
  • Capital Delivery TW Passport (essential)
  • Previous experience in confined space rescue operations

  • Respond to medical emergencies and performs basic pre-hospital patient care in accordance with established protocols and standard procedures
  • Respond to Hazardous Materials emergencies and perform offensive and defensive control and containment tasks
  • Respond to water borne POL spills and operate watercraft and deploy boom and other materials to control, contain, and recover spilled product
  • Drive a variety of fire apparatus, ambulances, and related vehicles to emergency and non-emergency incidents in a safe and professional manner
  • Operate fire apparatus pumps and appliances to produce required fire flow demands
  • Perform basic daily operator inspections and maintenance on fire apparatus
  • clean, wash, and service equipment, inspect, test, and maintain equipment and pumps including but not limited to nozzles, appliances, fittings, fire extinguishers, hand and power tools, ropes, ladders, emergency lighting equipment, generators, rescue and first aid and related equipment
  • Flow-test fire hydrants and fire sprinkler systems, pressure testing of hoses, and weight certification of ladders
  • Perform facility fire prevention inspections and related services as directed
