Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Configuration Manager to implement and maintain configuration management (CM) and version control processes for hardware and software systems throughout the full system lifecycle. This role ensures configuration integrity, traceability, and control by managing baselines, enforcing standardized CM processes, utilizing configuration tools, and supporting audits and change control activities.
Job Responsibility
Develop, implement, and enforce hardware and software configuration management and version control policies, processes, and procedures
Establish, maintain, and control configuration baselines, ensuring accurate versioning and traceability of all configuration items (CIs)
Manage end-to-end configuration control, including change tracking, impact analysis, approvals, and audit readiness
Utilize CM tools (e.g., DOORS, Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration artifacts
Support build, integration, test, and release environments while maintaining configuration integrity across all phases
Develop and document CM processes, including automated build and release procedures aligned with applicable standards
Conduct configuration audits, support Change Control Board (CCB) activities, and ensure end-to-end configuration traceability
Requirements
Six (6) years of experience in configuration management and version control on programs of similar scope, complexity, and technical requirements
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related discipline from an accredited institution, or four (4) additional years of relevant CM experience in lieu of a degree
Demonstrated experience implementing and managing hardware and software configuration baselines and version control systems
For developmental programs, a minimum of one (1) year of experience using source code control systems such as Git, SVN, or equivalent tools
U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph
This position requires an active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
