Job Description

We are seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to build, maintain, and continuously improve logical and physical service configurations across data centre infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of configuration data within the CMDB, while evolving configuration management tools, processes, and reporting in line with emerging technologies and enterprise standards. The role is based in Bucharest and sits within Service Management & IT Operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Define, maintain, and evolve the CMDB data model and discovery strategy
  • Administer, configure, and troubleshoot BMC ADDM and Atrium CMDB tools
  • Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions, including bash and shell scripts, to enhance configuration management tooling
  • Download, test, and apply tool upgrades and patches to ensure platform stability and capability
  • Create and modify discovery and CMDB pattern scripts to improve coverage and accuracy
  • Ensure strong integration between configuration management, build, and change management processes to support data integrity
  • Analyse CMDB data to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and quality issues, proactively improving discovery coverage and accuracy
  • Develop and deliver standard and ad-hoc dashboards and reports, integrating configuration item data with relevant additional data sources
  • Drive continual improvement of configuration items, relationships, discovery methods, and data models in collaboration with Technology Architecture teams

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT technologies, data analysis, and infrastructure architecture
  • Experienced in working within multinational or complex organisational environments
  • Confident in communicating complex technical information clearly, with strong written and spoken English skills
  • Knowledgeable in data centre standards, processes, and configuration management practices
  • Experienced in one or more infrastructure domains such as Windows, Linux or Unix systems, virtualisation platforms, enterprise storage, or database technologies
  • Skilled in data analysis, modelling, reporting, and presentation, with working knowledge of SQL and business intelligence concepts
  • Familiar with ITIL practices, SOX requirements, and security regulations
