Job Description:

You will be responsible for delivering and serving food and beverages at scheduled functions. This role is part of Restaurant Associates (EPC) within Compass Group Canada, serving at TD – Front Conferencing in Toronto.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver and serve food and beverages at scheduled functions
  • Assemble and deliver all food and supplies for catered functions
  • Log and maintain food temperatures
  • Assist with food and table prep before events
  • Arrange buffet tables with food, beverage, and service items
  • Serve plated dinners and respond to guest requests
  • Keep display equipment clean during service
  • Clean location after event
  • Assist with inventory and closeout tasks
  • Return equipment and utensils to catering facility
  • Stock, clean and maintain catering facility and equipment
  • Ensure guests receive friendly, courteous service
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of complete menu
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment
  • Follow safety and sanitation procedures

Requirements:

  • Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
  • Responsible Beverage Service Certificate for the province
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar environment
  • Valid driver’s license may be required
  • Able to accurately read event orders and organize deliveries
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Extremely well organized and efficient
  • able to multi-task
  • Good attention to detail
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
