Job Description

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists is seeking a conference coordinator to perform coordinative and administrative duties for the Meetings and Conferences Department. This position involves coordination of conference registration, shipping, onsite registration management and other logistical tasks. Other duties include financial and accounting tasks, such as credit card reconciliation, invoicing, expense reporting, purchase requests and purchase orders. This role also assists with execution of in-house meetings.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform administrative and communication functions
  • Develop management schedules and assign tasks to department members and others involved
  • Use financial system to make purchases, pay department invoices and reconcile department and travel credit cards
  • Provide assistance to the director of meetings and conferences and department personnel by supporting and coordinating activities related to two annual conferences
  • Maintain department SharePoint site
  • Coordinate conference packing and shipping
  • Coordinate building conference registration portals and assist with testing and troubleshooting issues related to the portals
  • Required travel to two conferences per year

Requirements

  • Associate degree
  • May accept experience in lieu of degree
  • Advanced organizational abilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of conference planning and meeting principles
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and reconciliation practices
  • Ability to build rapport, influence and utilize diplomacy and tact
