Conference and Banqueting Manager - Royal Dublin Society (RDS), Dublin | Full-Time / Permanent. We are now seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Conference and Banqueting Manager to lead the delivery of first-class hospitality at The RDS. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing high-profile events, and is committed to providing an outstanding guest experience. Your ability to lead from the front, uphold Levy standards, and enhance client satisfaction will be critical to the success of this role. As Conference and Banqueting Manager, you will take ownership of planning, coordinating, and delivering hospitality services across all events and supporting matchday events.
Job Responsibility
Ensure compliance with specifications of meetings and events orders by working closely with Meetings & Events Sales team
Lead, motivate, and manage hospitality staff including supervisors, servers, and casuals
Conduct pre-event briefings and regular team meetings to share objectives and standards
Work closely with the culinary team to align menus with guest expectations and dietary needs
Oversee inventory control, stock rotation, and minimise waste
Setting up SOP’s as required for the business
Drive a culture of service excellence and attention to detail
Manage guest feedback promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction
Manage budgets for operations including staffing, stock, and equipment
Provide financial reporting and analysis as required
Ensure all health & safety and food hygiene standards are maintained & implement and enforce venue and Levy procedures to create a safe working environment
Function as the primary hospitality contact for clients, vendors, and partners, building strong professional relationships
Lead post-event reviews to capture feedback and implement service enhancements
Requirements
Strong background in conference catering and F&B service delivery for premium clientele within a stadium, hotel, or large venue
Passionate about delivering world-class guest experiences
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Strong organisation, multitasking, and project management abilities
Financially astute with knowledge of budgets, cost control, and reporting
Must be flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends as required
Up to date with trends in food, beverage, technology, and guest services
Familiarity with health & safety compliance standards
