Job Description

Bureau Veritas is seeking experienced Condition Monitoring Technicians to deliver high‑quality condition monitoring and reliability services across large‑scale oil & gas and mining operations in the Mackay and Central Queensland regions. In this role, you will play a crucial part in optimising asset performance, improving equipment reliability, and supporting proactive maintenance strategies for our clients.

Job Responsibility

  • Apply a range of condition monitoring techniques to identify equipment issues and ensure reliable plant operation
  • Support broader reliability services, such as: In‑situ rotor balancing
  • Shaft alignments
  • Shutdown condition inspections
  • Lubrication support
  • Failure investigations
  • Reliability studies and reporting

Requirements

  • Vibration Analysis CAT 2 certification
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a condition monitoring role
  • Demonstrated experience in vibration analysis and thermography
  • Strong client relationship‑building and communication skills
  • The ability to work autonomously in varied site environments
  • A strong commitment to QHSE principles
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • A valid Queensland driver’s licence

  • Trade qualified and/or holding a higher certification or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in vibration data collection and analysis within heavy industry, preferably in a fixed plant environment
