As part of the Asset Management team, the Condition Monitoring Technician will be responsible for the establishment on an inhouse condition monitoring program to include vibration analysis, thermography, and thickness measurement. Once system set up has been achieved, they will be responsible for the collection, analysis, and review of all condition monitoring activities to ensure the health of the asset is understood and proactive actions can be implemented. The role will work closely with lubrication technicians to provide overall machine health assessment for the reliability team to take appropriate course of action. This is a permanent full-time position which operates on a FIFO 8:6 roster from Perth.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor, maintain and optimise the network of remote monitoring sensors and associated software systems
Ability to develop, monitor and evolve an inhouse condition monitoring program (system build, database management, policy, and procedures development)
Carry out condition monitoring tasks in accordance with work instructions, procedures, and company standards.
Safely execute routine and non-routine condition monitoring tasks
Support preventive maintenance programs through accurate, timely and standardised reporting of equipment defects and provision of recommended corrective actions to maintenance and planning teams
Use condition monitoring technologies and other NDT methods to gather asset health data, conduct basic analysis and report on asset condition
Contribute to defect elimination process through Reliability Engineer
Requirements:
Minimum requirement: Vibration Analysis Level 2 (VCAT2) or equivalent qualification
Practical knowledge of fixed plant equipment
Positive can-do attitude, sound communication skills and able to engage and influence multiple stakeholders
High level of attention to details and disciplined approach to work
Deep analytic skills and ability to communicate findings with asset management and maintenance teams
