Proven experience in concrete testing within a construction environment
Familiarity with relevant testing standards and regulations
Be prepared to travel and work nationwide
Full UK Driving license

Job Responsibility

Carry out a range of concrete testing activities, including cover meter surveys, half-cell potential testing, resistivity, carbonation and chloride testing, and coring
Record, interpret and analyse test results, producing clear and accurate technical reports
Ensure all testing is carried out in line with relevant standards, specifications and project requirements
Liaise with clients, contractors and internal project teams to plan works and resolve concrete-related queries on site
Work collaboratively with wider inspection teams and assist with other inspection activities during periods of low concrete testing demand

Job Responsibility

Move Samples: Pick up small concrete pots (about 4kg), take the concrete out, and use a small crane to put them in water tanks
Use Machines: Place concrete blocks into a grinding machine and a press machine to test how strong they are
Test Sand & Rocks (Once a week): Scoop and shake sand and rocks through sieves to check their sizes
Mix Lime: Mix one bag of lime (15kg) into the water tanks once a day
Computer Work: Type the test results into a computer
