Job Description:

W Edinburgh is hiring a W Insider (Concierge) to join the team! The position involves connecting, differentiating, and elevating guest experiences while creating an 'Insider Culture' within the hotel. Responsibilities include personalized assistance for guests, providing recommendations, and ensuring a memorable stay. Successful candidates will thrive in delivering personalized service, be detail-oriented, and have excellent local knowledge of Edinburgh and new trends. The property offers vibrant amenities, including a rooftop bar, signature restaurants, a spa, and cutting-edge event spaces.

Job Responsibility:

Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests to resolve issues, delight, and build trust
Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner
Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible
Assist other employees to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service
Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell
Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible
Stay up to date on the local area so that you are prepared to provide specific recommendations for guests
Communicate recommendations in a way that builds excitement and interest among guests and associates
Supply guests/residents with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities

Requirements:

Thrives in an environment where making the guests stay personalized and memorable
Has organizational skills and can multitask under pressure
Is an expert in the surrounding area and enjoys trying the newest hot spots
Has an eye for detail and a passion for all things happening in and around Edinburgh
