Job Description:

This position as a runner is to support our concessions stand employees and the rest of our staff. Ultimately, you’ll help ensure that our guests get an excellent customer service and enjoy their time at our venue by helping concession workers to stock, open, and close concessions stands for events and shows.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with opening and closing procedures
  • Perform various behind-the-stands tasks, such as restocking the concessions stands and storage areas
  • Help concession workers to stock, open, and close concessions stands for events and shows
  • Keep the bar stocked with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, nonalcoholic beverages, cups, napkins, candies, ice cubes and other products needed throughout their shift
  • Help ensure that guests get excellent customer service and enjoy their time at the venue
  • Move throughout multiple levels of the building with product
  • Assist in cleaning concessions stands and storage facilities
  • Perform any other task assigned by the manager or supervisor on duty in the food and beverage department

Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in a bar where alcoholic beverages are served and consumed
  • Available to work fluctuating schedule shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Organized and systematic
  • Adaptable
  • Team player
  • Ability to work under pressure in a loud, high traffic, fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift 50 – 75 lbs
  • Must have reliable transportation to both locations of work
  • Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
  • Basic knowledge of menu items
  • Understanding of how to appropriately dispense beverages to customers, store all inventory, and help track expiration dates and disposal of products
  • Willing to assist in cleaning concessions stands and storage facilities
  • Use of walkie talkies and appropriate transmissions will be required

Nice to have:

  • Interest in the hospitality industry
  • Previous entry-level experience in a bar or restaurant
