We are seeking a talented and experienced Concept Owner to join our Valmet IT Sales & Service domain, part of Valmet’s IT Process Domain function. Our mission is to design, deliver, and manage the lifecycle of IT solutions that support business capabilities across Sales, Service, Marketing, CPQ, and eCommerce. Concept Owner could be defined as a hybrid role between an IT architect and a business analyst. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders on capability development needs, ensuring our technological solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture principles, scalable, and enabling real value creation. As a Concept Owner, you will play a key role in ensuring end-to-end alignment of processes and development roadmaps, translating business requirements into technical solutions that drive growth, efficiency, and an improved digital experience for our customers and internal stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Own and develop the Sales & Service solution concept, ensuring alignment with Valmet’s business strategy, enterprise architecture, and overall IT vision
Collaborate closely with Sales, Service, Marketing, CPQ, and eCommerce business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into solution concepts, IT system development proposals, and actionable plans
Design and manage end-to-end solutions across CRM, customer service, field service, digital sales, quoting/CPQ, marketing automation, and customer digital channels
Collaborate closely with IT architects to evaluate technology options, ensure architectural coherence, and guide system design decisions
Work with development teams and vendors to ensure high-quality delivery of enhancements, projects, and releases
Evaluate and support adoption of modern technologies (e.g., Salesforce platform capabilities, Azure App Services, API integrations, integration platforms, data/AI-driven use cases)
Ensure solutions adhere to security, data privacy, architectural, and lifecycle management standards
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across sales, service, marketing, product management, IT governance, and architecture teams
Monitor industry trends and proactively identify opportunities to improve Valmet’s digital sales & service experience
Requirements:
M.Sc./B.Sc. level degree in Computer Science, Information systems or another applicable field
Proven hands-on experience in CRM, Sales, Service, Marketing, or eCommerce processes, ideally in a global industrial or complex B2B environment
Solid understanding of IT concepts and technologies, especially in the Salesforce platform, including: In-depth knowledge of Salesforce (Sales, Service, Marketing, Commerce and Experience Cloud, Data 360
API design and integration patterns
Knowledge of Azure cloud services (e.g., App Services, Integration Services) is seen as an advantage
Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks
Data and analytics platforms
AI/ML concepts and how they enable customer-facing processes
Ability to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, practical, and modern IT solutions
Experience working with product owners, architects, developers, vendors, and business leadership stakeholders
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
A proactive mindset with the ability to drive change and challenge existing practices
Fluent spoken and written English is essential
Nice to have:
Other language skills are regarded as an advantage
Previous experience in concept ownership, solution architecture, or senior business/IT analyst roles is a strong plus
Salesforce & TOGAF certifications are highly appreciated
