Job Description:

The Rise School is seeking a passionate, innovative and dedicated Computing Teacher to join our team on an initial fixed term contract until August 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential, including success in Computer Science GCSE.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver Computing curriculum from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4
  • Teach Maths to Year 7
  • Plan and deliver well-structured, differentiated lessons
  • Ensure strong progress against curriculum and Individual Support Plan (ISP) targets
  • Contribute to development of Computing curriculum and assessment strategies
  • Support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning
  • Effectively deploy support staff within lessons
  • Promote pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development
  • Act as Class Tutor for academic, pastoral and personal development of pupils
  • Act as key point of contact for parents
  • Contribute to pupil reviews
  • Ensure registration periods are purposeful and supportive
  • Maintain well-organised, safe and engaging learning environment
  • Ensure high standards of health and safety
