Job Description:

The Computer Test Technician reviews and tests operability of electronic systems and components, troubleshoots and repairs, and works with engineers in debugging and troubleshooting. The role is focused on system-level hardware testing and component installation.

Job Responsibility:

Review and test operability of electronic systems and components
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems and components
Read and interpret schematics, printouts, and specifications
Complete tests to determine the functionality of electrical circuitry and components
Participate with engineers in debugging and troubleshooting of new and existing products
Replace components in servers, including installation of processors, DIMMs, PCA boards, cables, heat sinks, and other high-value material
Provide system statuses verbally and in report form
Interface with engineers, technicians, and field personnel regarding system-level problems.

Requirements:

Associate's degree or equivalent experience and 4-6 years of experience
Highly experienced individuals performing equivalent work who are non-degreed or degreed in an unrelated field
Working knowledge in the field of electronics technology
Must be a US Citizen
Computer hardware knowledge with good communication skills
Familiar with using different computer applications and capable of navigating simple software
Thorough understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job
Works on complex assignments requiring ordinary problem resolution and independent judgment
Provides input for efficiency improvements in hardware, software, and procedures.
