This position, located at Dyess AFB, Texas operates, maintains and modifies complex hardware and software systems, subsystems for customers to use and to meet the needs of the unit while complying with all U.S. Air Force Regulations, and MAJCOM and/or local procedures. This is a Department of Labor (DOL), Service Contract Act (SCA) position.
Job Responsibility:
Operates computer systems during live Combat Training Support scenarios
Sets up, maintains, and runs Air Combat Training Systems (ACTS) including on-range and in-house networks as well as Integrated Combat Aircrew Debriefing Systems (ICADS) and other key infrastructure as required to include new and/or upgraded hardware & software
Gathers information from users/computer operators and defines systemic problems
Guides users in formulating requirements advises alternative solutions
Specifies number/types of records, files, & documents to be produced and/or stored
May be required to support COMSEC mandates
Ensure compliance with TDX Quality Control and Safety Programs
Other duties as assigned by the Program manager
Requirements:
Associate’s Degree in technical field or equivalent Vocational/Military training
A minimum of 3 years’ experience or equivalent time towards degree
IAT II (Security +, and must keep this certification current)
US Citizen // Secret Clearance or ability to obtain is required
Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license
Ability to read, analyze, and apply knowledge of both electrical and mechanical schematics
Nice to have:
Preferred background in military intelligence or tactical communications
