Job Description

The Computer Systems Analyst is responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of web & desktop applications to support existing and new. The position works with the Development team to ensure that all reports meet the needs of requesting customers. In addition, this position will assist in establishing reporting and data analysis standards. Works in conjunction with the director to optimize reports. As part of the systems team, works with current staff to effectively analyze, manage and report from the current software. Develop mechanisms for accurate and efficient reporting. generate custom applications and templates. Develops and maintains complete documentation, including narrative descriptions, input/output samples, and instructions for newly developed applications. Investigates and recommends methods to empower users to access and run frequently used reports. Develops complex reports using SQL, Microsoft Office and other utilities or languages as necessary.

  • Analyse system requirements, Design, develop, review, and implement new applications
  • Responsible for designing new Software solutions, modify, enhance or adapt existing systems and integrate new features to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Prepare the Conceptual Data Model, Logical Data Model and Physical Data Model using the third party tool – CA Erwin v7.3, r8. Create standard abbreviation
  • Will liaise and report to internal and external clients and stakeholders, including colleagues and developers
  • Build and send the release artifices to Release Management Team, configure and perform feasibility test
  • Create appropriate documentation for business requirements and work flow
  • Determine source data (input), processing requirements (output), output formats, timing and cost estimates
  • Verify that the system meets performance criteria
  • Maintain program libraries, user manuals, or technical documentation
  • Participate throughout all aspects of the software development life cycle

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Engineering or related field is required
  • Minimum 2-4 years related experience and Four years of business and/or system analysis experience in the related field
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2012, and 2014, Oracle, Proficiency with MS Office Products (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Working knowledge CA Erwin Data Modeling Suit, ability to analyze, interpret and express implications of complex data analysis
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, ability to work with cross-functional project teams and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Great interpersonal skills which includes the ability to effectively communicate with management and other staff regarding projects and deadlines

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in any of the above fields is a plus
  • Experience working in financial domain is a plus
  • Experience in T-SQL, JDBC, XML, HTML, Java, Java Script, Crystal Reports, jQuery and Classic ASP a plus
