Job Description:

The Computer Support Technician role involves providing technical support in a hospital environment, requiring a minimum of 5 years of experience. Job Responsibility:

  • Provide hands-on support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and applications
  • Relocate and set up IT equipment for staff moves and department changes
  • Use ServiceNow to manage and document support tickets and work performed
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to minimize disruption to patient care
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with hospital IT policies, including data security and privacy standards
  • Support mobile devices and hospital-specific applications
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding of hospital staff from an IT perspective
  • Participate in routine maintenance, patching, and updates of systems
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical support role
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • associate degree or technical training in IT preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
