We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Computer Support Technician to join our on-site IT team at a hospital. This role is responsible for supporting, repairing, replacing, and relocating computers and peripherals throughout the facility.
Job Responsibility:
Provide hands-on support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and applications
Relocate and set up IT equipment for staff moves and department changes
Use ServiceNow to manage and document support tickets and work performed
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to minimize disruption to patient care
Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams
Ensure compliance with hospital IT policies, including data security and privacy standards
Support mobile devices and hospital-specific applications
Assist with onboarding and offboarding of hospital staff from an IT perspective
Participate in routine maintenance, patching, and updates of systems
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical support role
High school diploma or equivalent required
associate degree or technical training in IT preferred
Must have had a Covid shot in the past and a recent flu shot
Must be able to use personal car - mileage will be reimbursed
Nice to have:
Experience working in a healthcare or hospital environment
Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), ITIL Foundation Certification
