GSL Education are recruiting to appoint a knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher for schools across Rotherham, serving learners in the communities of S65 and S66, to deliver engaging and relevant learning experiences. Job Responsibility:

Plan and deliver structured lessons covering a range of computing topics
Support learners in developing problem-solving and analytical skills
Promote positive behaviour and focused learning
Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development
Develop learners’ logical thinking, computational skills, and digital confidence
Foster curiosity, innovation, and responsible technology use in an inclusive classroom

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to perform effectively as a Computer Science Teacher
Confident classroom management and communication skills
A good understanding of safeguarding and learner wellbeing
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
A strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing an application for a new check
