Job Responsibility
Plan and Deliver High-Quality Lessons: Create and execute inclusive, engaging lesson plans that foster a deep curiosity for computing
Assess and Track Student Progress: Mark student coursework, provide constructive written feedback, and maintain accurate records of achievement
Prepare Students for External Examinations: Ready pupils thoroughly for national qualifications, coursework assessments, and digital practicals
Promote Online Safety Education: Actively educate pupils on how to use digital technologies safely, responsibly, and legally
Develop Innovative Teaching Resources: Collaborate with colleagues to build schemes of work that incorporate new technological advancements
Foster a Productive Learning Environment: Effective management of student behaviour in line with the academy's positive behaviour policies
Engage with Parents and Guardians: Provide transparent, regular updates on student progress during parents' evenings and through academic reports
Contribute to Extra-Curricular Enrichment: Support the wider school community by contributing to computing clubs, coding challenges, or STEM events

Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Holds QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
Enhanced DBS: A valid Enhanced DBS clearance registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one)
Curriculum Knowledge: Deep familiarity with current exam board standards for secondary Computer Science
Eligibility to Work: Valid legal entitlement to work full-time in the UK
