Computer Science Teacher – Full-time, long-term cover for illness from July 2026 or September 2026. Job Responsibility
Deliver high-quality KS4 Computing lessons aligned with curriculum expectations
Plan and teach KS4 Esports courses, ensuring engaging and relevant content
Deliver KS5 Esports provision, supporting students in developing advanced technical, strategic, and teamwork skills
Create engaging lessons that promote problem-solving, creativity, and digital literacy
Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with departmental and school policies
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of learners with a range of abilities and interests
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and engagement in the classroom
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and contribute positively to the wider school community
Requirements
Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Has experience teaching Computer Science at KS4 level
Has experience teaching or a strong interest in Esports at KS4 and KS5
Demonstrates secure subject knowledge and enthusiasm for computing and digital technologies
Is confident managing a classroom and motivating learners
Is flexible and adaptable to cover a long-term absence
Is available to start in July 2026 or September 2026
Is committed to supporting pupil progress and personal development
