Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join our team of exceptional educators at Beechwood School. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a culture of curiosity, innovation, and academic excellence in a forward-thinking and supportive environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teaching Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach at A Level desirable
  • Planning and delivering engaging, innovative, and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Supporting the development of the Computer Science curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant, challenging, and aligned with current specifications
  • Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on pupil progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
  • Promoting a positive learning environment with high expectations of behaviour and achievement
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities, clubs, and school events
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and support departmental development

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Computer Science or a closely related subject
  • Experience teaching Computer Science at KS3 and KS4 (A Levels desirable)
  • Strong subject knowledge, including programming and computational thinking
  • A passion for education and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
