A well-established international British secondary school in Madrid is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teacher of Computer Science to join its dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will teach Computing and Computer Science across Key Stages 3–4, including preparation for Edexcel Pearson IGCSE examinations, and will help foster curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a love of technology in students.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver engaging, high-quality Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Contribute to a departmental culture of purpose, pride, and academic excellence
Support the implementation of effective quality-assurance processes to ensure outstanding teaching and learning
Collaborate in the development of curriculum plans, departmental schemes of work, and teaching resources
Model exemplary classroom practice and support colleagues’ professional development
Ensure compliance with all school policies, including safeguarding, behaviour, health and safety, and professional standards
Provide appropriate work in the event of staff absence and support whole-school duties as required
Ensure students achieve their academic targets in Computing and Computer Science
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Minimum of two years’ teaching experience within the British National Curriculum (UK or international)
Proven track record of strong classroom practice and positive student outcomes
Strong understanding of assessment for learning and data-informed planning
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective professional relationships
Nice to have:
