Job Description

Coherent Technical Services, Inc. is seeking Computer Engineering/Computer Science candidates in the San Diego area to support the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific in the upgrade, development, integration and demonstration of software enhancements for Positioning Navigation and Timing (PNT) systems. CTSi supports mission critical real-time PNT data services, including weapons, combat systems, and other command, control, communications and intelligence systems on Navy surface and subsurface platforms.

Job Responsibility

  • Engineering support for software test tool development and system-level test and evaluation (T&E) of shipboard PNT systems
  • Support the upgrade, development, integration and demonstration of software enhancements for Positioning Navigation and Timing (PNT) systems
  • Support mission critical real-time PNT data services, including weapons, combat systems, and other command, control, communications and intelligence systems on Navy surface and subsurface platforms

Requirements

  • Active Security Clearance
  • BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering and/or Electrical or Electronics Engineering with field of concentration in Computer Science
  • Minimum two to four (2-4) years of professional experience
  • Programming experience with object-oriented analysis, design and programming using Java, C#, C++ and JavaScript
  • user interfaces and HTML

Nice to have

  • Hardware, firmware, software and systems engineering, design and integration
  • Software and system testing procedures, bug verification and test automation
  • Experience with updates to existing software lab tools, such as Publish-Subscribe (Pub-Sub) Execution Framework software and post data analysis software
  • With in a lab environment, setup, and update test capabilities to support Government IV&V and verify Technical Requirements Document (TRD) compliance
  • Experience with PNT system internal and external Interface Control Documentation (ICD) and have experience testing interface compliance to the governed documentation
  • Agile programming experience with object-oriented analysis, Matlab, design and programming using Java, C#, C++ and JavaScript

  • CM tools (SVN, GIT, Confluence, JIRA)
