Job Description:

The Compute Sales Specialist role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise involves responsibility for leading pursuit and supporting account managers with specialist expertise within sales teams. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities, managing pipelines, and delivering tailored client solutions. This full-time role is based onsite in Sydney, Australia, requiring strong sales experience, technical knowledge, and a focus on client engagement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Seek out new opportunities and expand existing ones
  • maintain knowledge of competitors to position HPE products better
  • develop pursuit plans and manage pipeline
  • establish a professional, consultative relationship with clients
  • contribute to proposal development and deal negotiations
  • work closely with account managers, providing technical expertise
  • grow contractual renewals for mid-size accounts
  • interface with internal and external experts for customer solutions
  • build sales readiness and transfer knowledge
  • prioritize and delegate to focus on key opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in achieving progressively higher quota
  • extensive vertical industry knowledge required
  • 5-8 years advanced sales experience required
  • deep knowledge of products, solution or service offerings as well as competitor's offerings
  • understands the industry and market segment in which key accounts are situated
  • integrates industry knowledge into consultative selling
  • understands the role of IT and how the company's solutions address vertical industry challenges
  • negotiates and drives deals to successful closes
  • broad understanding of customer needs
  • uses client engagement skills to propose solutions
  • leadership and initiative in driving specialty sales
  • translates product knowledge into customer business value
  • uses specialty knowledge to prospect and cultivate sales opportunities
  • ability to close or support the close of deals
  • demonstrates high service knowledge and professionalism
  • understand the channel and increase sales with partners
  • regular use of Siebel for deal profile updates and forecasting
  • knowledge of industry trends and key partner solutions.
